None of these is fixed by paying for priority. Priority moves you up the queue; it does not answer a query on your behalf.
Nothing happens automatically. Only then is it worth raising an enquiry with UKVI directly. Keep the reference number from the biometrics appointment, because the enquiry cannot be opened without it, and do not submit a second application: that creates a duplicate record and slows both.
