Are you planning a business trip to Germany? Many professionals in Hyderabad and across India trust NC Visas for quick, accurate, and hassle-free Germany business visa applications. We take care of everything, from preparing your documents to booking your VFS appointment, so you can stay focused on your work.
The Germany Business Visa (Schengen Type C) allows Indian nationals to visit Germany for up to 90 days within any 180-day period. You can use it for meetings, trade fairs, supplier visits, conferences, and signing contracts. This visa also allows travel to all 26 Schengen countries with one stamp, but it does not allow you to work in Germany.
This visa is for business owners, IT professionals, exporters, pharma professionals, startup founders, corporate employees, and consultants travelling to Germany for business purposes for less than 90 days.
Processing takes 15 to 45 working days after VFS submission. Apply at least 6 to 8 weeks before travel. During peak trade fair seasons (March to May, September to November) slots fill fast.

Business visas are issued individually. Accompanying family members can apply simultaneously for a Schengen Tourist Visa. NC Visas manages both applications together, so your entire travel group is ready at the same time.
After your visa arrives, NC Visas provides Germany travel tips, hotel recommendations near trade fair venues, itinerary review, SIM card and currency guidance, and support for future multiple-entry visa applications.
This is the first decision and it depends only on how long you will stay, not on what you will do.
| Schengen business visa (Type C) | National visa (Type D) | |
|---|---|---|
| Length of stay | Short stays within the standard Schengen limit | Longer than that limit |
| Applied for at | The mission of your main destination | The German mission |
| Lets you work | No – meetings, negotiations and conferences only | Depends on the permit attached |
| Travel in Schengen | Yes, across the area | Entry to Germany, with short visits elsewhere |
Applying for a short-stay visa when the trip needs a national visa is the most common structural error, and it cannot be corrected after arrival.
A letter that omits who pays, or that gives dates inconsistent with your flight booking, is queried. Have the German company send it on letterhead with a signature and a contact who can be reached.
It permits meetings, negotiations, conferences, trade fairs and site visits. It does not permit taking up employment, being paid from a German source, or performing productive work for the inviting company – and the distinction is one German missions understand well. Where the trip genuinely involves work, the route is an employment visa or an intra-company transfer, not a business visa applied for optimistically. Our Opportunity Card service and job seeker visa service cover the work routes.
